Thank you for choosing Easipay for your new LVT flooring. Glue-down LVT is an excellent choice for homes that want style, comfort and long-lasting durability.
We’re proud to install it for you, and this guide is here to help you get the very best from your flooring — from day one through to years of daily living.
Glue-down LVT has a different settling process to click flooring. The adhesive needs time to cure fully, and the first week is the most important period.
Avoid mopping or washing the floor for 48 hours after installation.
Spills should be wiped immediately, but avoid any wet cleaning.
If excess moisture gets in before the adhesive cures, tiles may shift, lift, or edges may curl.
Avoid placing heavy items (sofas, appliances, wardrobes) immediately after fitting.
If possible, allow 24–48 hours for the adhesive to bond fully before placing heavy weight on the floor.
Even after curing, glue-down LVT can shift slightly under force. Always lift and place.
It’s normal for very small gaps between tiles/planks to appear during the first few days as the adhesive settles.
These usually resolve once the glue completely hardens.
After the first 48 hours:
Vacuum or sweep only.
For a first mop, use warm water with a pH-neutral floor cleaner.
Avoid soaking the floor — use a slightly damp microfibre mop.
Glue-down LVT needs full adhesive contact. Edges may lift if:
Adhesive hasn’t fully cured
Heavy moisture reached the edges
Heavy furniture was placed too soon
Underfloor dust prevented adhesion in a spot
What to do:
Contact us — do not attempt to glue it back yourself.
We’re happy to assess and refit any lifted areas.
If tiles shift slightly within the first week, this is usually due to:
Early moisture exposure
Heavy dragging
Adhesive not fully cured
What to do:
Let us know — early movement is usually easy for us to fix.
Small gaps that appear in the first few days often settle on their own once the adhesive hardens fully.
If gaps remain after a week, contact us.
LVT has a durable wear layer, but sharp grit or furniture legs can still scratch it.
Prevention:
Use felt pads on all furniture feet.
Use mats at entrances.
Keep pet nails trimmed.
Sweep regularly so grit doesn’t act like sandpaper.
Fix:
Minor marks can often be blended with an LVT repair kit.
Heavy items left in place for a long time can create dents.
Helpful tip:
Place furniture coasters or protective pads under feet of heavy furniture.
Avoid sitting extremely heavy appliances (like American fridge freezers) directly on tiles before adhesive is fully cured.
Rubber-backed mats or prolonged sunlight can cause colour changes over time.
What to do:
Use fabric-backed or vinyl-safe mats only.
Use blinds or curtains in rooms with strong sunlight.
LVT is extremely easy to clean, especially when spills are handled quickly.
Avoid bleach, steam mops, and abrasive pads.

They can stain or discolour the surface over time.
Protect Furniture Points
