The benefit of this is that you don’t have to come to us, you can see what the flooring will look like in your home and decide if you want to opt for dark or light shades based on the actual lighting in your home! While we’re with you, we can measure up for you if you decide to go ahead.

If you do pick out a flooring you love, our team member can help you work out a payment plan that suits you. We can tweak the amount and schedule of the plan to suit you. Prices start at £10 a week, but many of our customers choose to pay more so they pay the plan off sooner. It makes no difference how quickly you pay it off however.

The Pros and Cons of Laminate Flooring
Laminate is often the favourite option for kitchens. It adds a sense of style that’s hard to match and gives the look of hardwood flooring without the expense.
It’s easy to clean and gets on fine with high strength cleaning products which make it ideal as a healthy and germ free flooring. It’s a wipe-clean leader in this environment. Dropped some food? Give it a wipe. Spilled red wine? Kitchen roll to the rescue.
It’s stain resistant, scratch resistant and bodes very well under heavy foot traffic or moving kitchen tables around. It’ll resist excited pets with muddy paws and sharp claws.
This makes laminate flooring ideal for homes with energetic pets and children.
It’s not perfect though. Laminate flooring is made up of several layers of wood held together with adhesive. On top it has a protective layer which gives it the scratch resistance and wipe clean properties. Laminate locks together around the edges and these edges are where the faults lie.
When left unattended, spillages can seep into where the laminate plans join together. The top layer is protected and waterproof, but the sides and joints aren’t. Once water does work its way in there, you can’t dry it by hand.
A substantial spillage left unattended can damage the laminate within a day. When the laminate becomes damaged the water seeps into the wood between the layers where the adhesive is and it swells the wood. When this happens it usually damages both planks either side of the join which means both planks need replacing. They won’t get better from letting them dry out and the damage is permanent. This makes Laminate flooring unsuitable for bathrooms, but kitchens and dining rooms are perfect!
It’s also worth highlighting that unlike actual wooden flooring, laminate has that protective layer on top and that’s it. If that gets damaged all the way through then the exposed wood wouldn’t survive a regular spill and the plank will need replacing.
